FAQ

Good questions, answered.

What areas do you serve?

Baltimore City and the surrounding Maryland area, with deep experience across Little Italy, Brewers Hill, Greektown, Upper Fells, and Harbor East.

What happens in a security assessment?

A no-pressure site walk where we map coverage gaps, review your risks, and recommend a tailored plan and quote.

What equipment do you use?

Professional-grade systems (Hanwha, Verkada, Milestone-class) selected for your property — never a one-size-fits-all box.

Do you offer monitoring after install?

Yes. Your system records and alerts around the clock, and ongoing maintenance and response options keep it performing. Our office answers Monday–Friday, 8am–6pm, with priority response for active clients.

Who can see my camera footage, and how long is it kept?

You can. Footage belongs to you, access is limited to the people you authorize, and systems are configured with secure, encrypted access. Retention is determined by you — guided by your own policies and the laws that apply in your location. For community networks, the association sets clear governance over who can view what.

Am I locked into a contract or monthly fees?

No. You approve a fixed-scope proposal before any work begins, and ongoing support or monitoring is only added if you choose it — never a lock-in you didn't agree to.

Can you provide references?

Yes — with our clients' permission, we're glad to connect serious inquiries with past clients. Discretion works both ways, so we never share a client's name without their approval.

Do you handle both residential and commercial?

Both — plus neighborhood-wide community camera networks.

What is the Digital Defense Plan?

Concierge cybersecurity for executives and families: privacy hardening, account and 2FA audits, and digital-footprint reduction.

How much does a security camera system cost in Baltimore?

Systems begin around $1,000, and every one is custom-scoped to the property. After a complimentary on-site assessment, you receive a fixed-scope proposal — you'll know the full investment before any work begins, with no surprises.

How long does installation take?

Most homes and businesses are completed within a few days of approving the design. Larger neighborhood networks are phased on a schedule we set together, and Rapid Site Security can be deployed in days when speed matters.
